Jayco Australia, a titan in the recreational vehicle industry, has officially unveiled its MY26 caravan range that’s set to redefine off-grid travel for adventurous souls. Enhancements in power systems and a stylish refresh across its various models promise to make outdoor enthusiasts’ travels even more enjoyable.
The new MY26 lineup introduces substantial upgrades with 48V lithium battery systems and induction cooktops, catering perfectly to those leaning towards a 'gas-free' off-grid camping experience. While previously, only select models featured these advancements, now many of Jayco's higher-end towable caravans come standard with at least a 300Ah lithium battery, a 7-inch display, and 520W rooftop solar panels.
"We get a lot of customer feedback, and one thing we've done well over the past couple of years is to listen a lot more to the consumer," asserts Chris Hooper, Jayco's National Touring Sales Manager. "We're constantly making design changes but (these latest changes are) more about how the customer uses (the caravan); the functionality as well as the build quality of it."
Emphasizing versatility, the MY26 range has streamlined its offerings, with just four wind-up camper trailers and one Expanda model now available. Jayco has also replaced the once-popular olive green exterior color with more contemporary shades like dune, grey, and white, making it more appealing to modern tastes.
In terms of aesthetics, premium models feature refreshed external graphics alongside interior upgrades such as new lighting and updated upholstery, making each caravan feel modern and inviting.
A noteworthy addition to Jayco’s hybrid segment is the introduction of hardtop variants in the 'Mk3' Crosstrak range, now featuring three pop-top models and two hardtop designs. Starting from just over $85,000 (tow-away Vic), these new Crosstrak hardtops have impressive specifications, including a robust 300Ah lithium battery, a whopping 1040W rooftop solar setup, and a spacious external kitchen. Options for enhancing performance include 17-inch tires, brush bars, a 48V power system, and Jtech airbag suspension.
The off-grid capabilities reach new heights with the return of the Adventurer model. This latest iteration replaces the previous All Terrain setup, delivering layouts ranging from 16ft to 22ft, starting at $104,990 (tow-away, Vic). Each Adventurer comes packed with a state-of-the-art 48V power system that integrates a 5kW battery, 4000W inverter, and a 48V air conditioning unit, along with up to 1300W rooftop solar. Other popular features include ducted diesel heating and a high-tech 10-inch touchscreen interface.
While many users may expect advanced toilet solutions, Jayco has not yet introduced composting toilets; however, the anticipated Thetford separation toilet is expected to be a later addition in 2026.
Toy hauler lovers will also find something to celebrate. After exploring smaller options, Jayco has reverted to two larger Basestation models: the 19ft and 24ft options for their 2026 line. These robust caravans inherit design highlights from the Adventurer, such as the powered entry step and updated graphics, with starting prices around $93,000 driveaway.
