The resort, recognized for offering the longest ski and ride season in Colorado, is set to maintain operations seven days a week until June 1, 2025.
Following this, Arapahoe Basin will close for a brief pause from June 2 to June 5, but ski operations will resume for a few days from June 6 through June 8. The ultimate closing day is currently marked as June 8, 2025, although the resort may consider extending operations into an additional weekend if favorable weather permits. "We need cool temps and grey skies to get us there," said a representative from the resort, indicating that the decision will be heavily influenced by weather conditions.
In an effort to keep the celebratory spirit alive, Arapahoe Basin will host its annual Festival of the Brewpubs during the Memorial Day weekend, providing an opportunity for locals and visitors alike to enjoy craft beverages. "For $35, you can score entry to the festival, an Arapahoe Basin glass beer cup, and unlimited refills from a wide selection of local breweries," said a spokesperson. As attendees partake in the festivities, they are reminded to enjoy responsibly.
The resort remains vibrant with spring snowfall, creating ideal conditions for skiing as the season nears its conclusion. Palisades Tahoe in California is scheduled to close on May 26, 2025. Meanwhile, Mammoth Mountain, also in California, has yet to announce an official closing date but plans to remain open into June. Timberline Lodge in Oregon, staying true to its tradition, will continue welcoming skiers well into the warmer months.
Distinctively, Beartooth Basin in Wyoming, known as a summer-only ski destination, has an anticipated opening date of May 28, subject to weather and conditions.
