On Thursday, May 22, the Arapahoe Basin Ski Area announced its plans for the end of the winter season, designating June 8 as the official closing date. The ski area has committed to offering skiing and riding seven days a week until June 1. Following that date, operations will shift to a weekend-only schedule from June 6 to June 8.
"We are excited to close out the ski season with some great conditions on the slopes," said the management team at Arapahoe Basin. "Our guests can look forward to enjoying the mountain right up until our closing weekend."
While June 8 is the targeted closing date, A-Basin has not entirely ruled out the possibility of extending its season further. Should the weather and conditions remain favorable, the ski area may choose to stay open an additional weekend, ultimately closing on June 15.
To mark the occasion, A-Basin will be hosting its annual Festival of Brewpubs over Memorial Day weekend on Sunday, May 25. "It’s a fantastic way to celebrate the season and enjoy some of the best local brews available in Summit County," mentioned an event coordinator. "We’re looking forward to a fun day for everyone!"
After the ski season wraps up, A-Basin will shift gears towards its summer activities, with the summer season set to begin on June 27. The array of summer offerings will include North America’s highest Via Ferrata, an aerial adventure park, biking trails, and live music events. "There’s so much to look forward to in the summer here at A-Basin," said an operations representative. "Our visitors will find a diverse range of activities that are perfect for all ages."
As the ski area prepares for its transition to summer, the focus remains on providing memorable experiences for visitors, both on the slopes and during summer activities. "We encourage everyone to come and enjoy what we have to offer, whether it’s skiing in the spring or exploring the mountain in the summer," the management added, emphasizing their commitment to guest satisfaction.
