In New South Wales, the opening of the $26 million Mt Perisher 6 chairlift has made a significant impact on access to Mount Perisher, marking a “history-making” milestone. The launch of the Epic Australia 4-Day Pass has made snow holidays more accessible for casual skiers and riders. Popularity soared in Thredbo, where Uni Week doubled in size compared to last year, showing strong growth in beginner and premium lesson programs.
Selwyn also celebrated its busiest day and week ever during the July school holidays, with local businesses in Adaminaby noting a vibrancy reminiscent of times before the bushfires. Meanwhile, Charlotte Pass experienced all lifts operating from day one, with impressive guest feedback highlighting a lively atmosphere throughout the resort.
In Victoria, the snow region witnessed significant investments aimed at enhancing guest experiences. Falls Creek completed a major upgrade to snowmaking facilities on Drover’s Dream, allowing for more beginner and intermediate terrain to open earlier than ever. "Midweek magic" deals and a valet service for families have defined the collaborative efforts that contributed to a successful season at the resort.
Hotham has introduced the Big D progression freestyle park, which has quickly become a hotspot for riders of all ages. Relocation of ski schools to Hotham Central has been described as a pivotal change for families visiting the resort. Mt Buller proudly celebrated its 75-year legacy of Ski Patrol and hosted a popular National Interschools event, showcasing the region's rich recreational tradition.
As snowplay visitation surged, many visitors from culturally diverse backgrounds discovered the joy of skiing in the mountains. The great energy created by new snowfalls, effective snowmaking, and sunny days has reminded many skiers just how special winter in Victoria truly is.
In the Australian Capital Territory, Corin Forest has reported attracting over 2,000 visitors daily during peak weekends and school holiday periods. The installation of two new snow factories enabled the resort to open all terrain from the King’s Birthday weekend, sustaining operations throughout the season.
Tasmania’s Ben Lomond celebrated the most successful season yet, with commercial performance more than doubling compared to the previous year. This achievement has paved the way for accelerated investments in snowmaking technology and infrastructure, meeting the growing demands of skiers and snowplay visitors captivated by the mountain experience.
