Pricing at $529.95, the Huck Knife is marketed as a board that meets the demands of freestyle riders. "I found it stable on kickers and incredibly fun to ride switch," Gibson observed. With a playful flex pattern and impressive pop, the board seems tailored for those who enjoy the creative elements of snowboarding. Despite its strengths, Gibson noted a few drawbacks. "It might be too soft for heavier riders, and I found that it isn’t the best at carving. The graphics also seemed a bit uninspiring," he said.
Gibson put the Huck Knife to the test under spring conditions in Villars, Switzerland. "The snow was a bit patchy at first, icy in some places, then slushy as the day progressed. I spent most of my time in the park, riding medium-sized jumps and practicing some flatland tricks on the way back to the lift," he explained. His initial laps on the board included various 360s and attempts at rail tricks, showcasing both confidence and creativity in the park.
The Huck Knife features a true twin shape, making it equal whether riding forward or switch. Gibson emphasized this benefit, stating, "This design allows for seamless transitions and rotations off jumps." With a flex rating of 5/10, Gibson found the Huck Knife to lean slightly softer than what some might expect from a park board. "However, the core is intentionally designed to maintain pop, even with that softness," he remarked. "The distinct camber zones allow for a ride that's a hybrid of traditional and modern camber experiences," he reported.
